On Tuesday, William and Kate stepped out for an afternoon at one of the King’s Buckingham Palace garden parties—certainly a highlight of the calendar for royal watchers.
I love yellow and I love this dress. Interesting for me is the hat and a posssible reason she ordered two dresses in a strong shade of butter yellow. Perhaps I am reaching ... Catherine received a lot of unwarranted criticism for wearing "white" to H&M's wedding. Catherine Fans all know the dress was the daintiest primrose. When she wore this hat again with two different dresses in butter yellow (Trouping 2019 and Jubilee 2022), we all nodded and said "See, her dress for H&M's wedding was yellow." Am I reaching?
Anyone else's heart break a little when she was meeting with Liz Hatton's family?
I thought the same thing about wearing a deeper yellow with that hat. I loved her outfit but I also love when she goes more “natural”. Wonder what she’ll wear tomorrow for the ship’s commissioning
I love these rewears there are so many lovely things we’ve seen only once or twice I’d love to see that strapless black velvet number she wore years ago to the military awards with the ruby and diamond necklace
This is one of my favourite dresses of Kate’s and I also loved the hat today - the angle was just right with her intricate updo. I can’t help thinking she knew it was her Sussex wedding hat and wore her own wedding earrings to offset any bad vibes!
As you mentioned, Sophie, Eugenia and Zara were also there and looking their garden party best. Perfection all round for me.

I like this butter yellow which is unusual since I tend to like bolder colors on Catherine. I also like the hat better with this outfit then h and m’s wedding.
I think at That Other Wedding that her hair was down around her shoulders, and the angle she wore the hat was more east-west, which read less polished to me. At Trooping the Color (in 2019?), it was also worn more horizontally, which hides the flowers a bit. Here the hat's more north-south, which gives it more "presence" and I think gives the flowers and the sweep of the brim equal billing. Catherine's updo and the flowers look more harmonious here? I disliked the hat seven years ago, but it works well with the outfit for the Garden Party.
She looks fabulous as always! It appears to me the hat sits a little differently on her head and looks better this time. Love the hat! I would love to have a day in her closets looking at all her dresses and hats!!
As if Catherine couldn’t get more elegant and beautiful - she does! Simply stunning. Her graciousness and enjoyment with people are at an all-time high. A jewel for sure.
I didn’t like this dress that much the first time she wore it but loved it with this hat.
Me too. The dress was never a favorite of mine, but I love it here with the hat.

And yes about Liz Hatton’s family!

My girl crushed deepened that day. She was va-va-voom! One of my Top 5 moments.

Love the whole look. Always thinks she looks great in yellow and no exception here !

Her hair is divine.

Her makeup is a little off…most noticeable in the last picture. Or maybe the photos released were not as airbrushed?
I think she had weight to gain still from the year that affects how she looks. It can make her features more enhanced.
Hugs with people from the Hattons to the families of Holocaust survivors look so familiar and friendly.
I’m so happy to see her out and greeting the public.
In the last picture she does not look well (or look like herself). There's the smile, but the color is drained from the face.
Agree. Looked so elegant.
I can't be the first to ask why the blog isn't called From Bucklebury to Buckingham?
