Omg, classic country look is an understatement. Perfect outfit. I love the Rhumba boots, I own a pair as well, like you do, Jane!

Completely agree, it's a perfect outfit! I love the classic country chic look, and I too own a pair of the Rhumba's and I LOVE them. They have held up all these years and are still my favorite go-to boots! I like quite a bit of Kate's 'country' look and some of her staples from 'Really Wild' which evoke a casual country vibe. The clothing is well made, tailored and timeless.

Gorgeous, especially the hair with that beautiful hat. I don't feel like Kate does as many daytime updos as she used to and I miss them.

I love this look, then and now. One thing I always appreciate about so many of Kate's outfits is that they have a timeless, almost retro quality, that would look good in any number of eras. I don't think that people looking back at her fashion 50 years from now will find too many cringe-worthy, too trendy looks. I also love the green coat and brooch she wore a few weeks earlier. It's another look that works over the years.

You are right, timeless pieces of garments which will help her one day to be seen like the Princess Royal, elegant and environmentally conscious.

While I’m very happy Kate has headed to Sandrongham, I wouldn’t read too much into this. I had a similar experience two years ago - major abdominal surgery, two weeks in hospital and months of recovery at home - and even though I managed a trip six weeks post surgery, it still took months before I could operate normally.

I love this look, as Jane said, very Downton. It also makes me a bit sad, almost like the good old days before all the nastiness started. I am so looking forward to seeing Catherine again - I miss her
