There is a color theory from David Hicks which says since we see multiple shades of green mixed in nature and it is always pleasing to our eyes that all greens go together. In general I agree, and it applies here. Kate looks lovely and seems to have a good eye for mixing color.
I also have some earrings like Kate, though one is in a color that worked better for me. (It makes things easy for spouses.) It is fun to feel connected to and get that feeling of luxury that we experience with royalty.
I have a few pearl drop earrings including one pair from a Canadian company called Shelley Silversmith. I saw a photo of Kate wearing Shelley's Ulu earrings when she toured Carcross, Yukon in 2016. Then I looked at Shelley's website and saw some pearl hoop earrings as well. So I bought the small Ulu silver earrings and the pearl hoop earrings :) There was an article in a Canadian newspaper that Shelley's earrings flew off the shelves after Kate wore them :)
I was just going to say the same thing about shades of green! My grandmother, who was born in 1897, used to tell me that when I was a child, so I thought everyone knew it. Sometimes, it really does feel like there's nothing new under the sun.
Green is a staple colour in my wardrobe and I must say I keep forest green and moss green accessories for use as required and don’t mix them much - they look ok in nature because there are far more than two shades together so your eye finds the harmonious link. Having said that, I loved this dress on Kate.
That shade of green is one of my favorites and I wish it were easier to find. My quibblino is with the cut of the shoes, which I don't believe flatters her legs or feet. And although I like the rest of the dress, it doesn't hit at the best length. An inch longer would be better. Still, she looked great.
I like that the dress is just a tad bit shorter than the mid-calf style that has been so popular for the last couple years. The "just below the knee" length sems so much more flattering and less dowdy to me.
The pearl buttons provide a bit of interest but overall I find this a rather boring look. It wouldn't be out of place on a secretary at a law firm. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I like to see Kate in something a bit more interesting.
I had never heard the color theory of the shades of green before. So interesting! I'm not sure it works as well with clothing and accessories as it does in nature, though. Green works well with my coloring and I like to wear it but good shades are hard to find.
I bought beautiful baroque pearl drops that are lovely with her loops. She also has the classic round. I assume she still does, you may want to check those out too. They are beautifully matched pearls and a lovely large size. Classic!!
Personally, I'm not a fan of the colour of the shoes/bag. But as always, I thought she looked absolutely spot (ha!) on with this outfit. Beautiful.

I remember that!

She always looks immaculate, but this look is a little boring/dowdy for me personally.

Missed saying pearls are from Kiki.
