The Middleton’s do such a fabulous job of being classy and low key at the same time. They no doubt are the in laws of choice! 😂

I also love how they seem so friendly with the extended royals as well!

Agreed! Which I think is evidence that they are well liked and don’t gossip about the royal family

I have a pair of wedges nearly identical to Pippa's and seeing her in them makes me want to get them out for a wear this week!

Are we sure that James Matthews received an invitation to King Charles coronation? I seem to recall at the time there was a concern about enough available space for all of the desired guests. As the Middleton’s are more royal adjacent than royal it seemed their invitation was a courtesy. I do agree it seemed odd to not include spouses, James Middleton’s wife did not attend-we do not know if it was due to pregnancy, and I acknowledge they are very close family to the future King George VII. I find it hard to believe that someone would decline an invitation to one of the most important events in their lifetime unless there were extreme circumstances.

James was not invited - nor was Alizee. Space was tight in the Abbey!

Many spouses missed out. Lady Gabriella and her brother Lord Freddie went together, minus spouses.

An acquaintance of mine went, minus husband and sat with similar guests all on their own.

I recall this, too, that there was a big deal made about space, so it was limited to Kate’s immediate family.

I think Charlotte takes a bit after Kate’s mom.

I'm feeling very fashion forward and having a moment 💃 because I have Pippa's espadrilles! I may have gasped a little when I saw them in the photo. I believe Kate has a pair too (or similar) which is what influenced me to buy them a few years ago!

I wonder that the emphasis was on greeting the French president before Wimbledon. I secretly hope she attends the dinner because those are always exciting outings with a tiara and all the trimmings.

It really is good for the tennis when she attends. Now that she is the patron it really puts a shine on the days she is present. Catherine is more glittery than the biggest stars in the box.

I thought it was more that she avoids events that are very lengthy with lots of standing during the day (garden party, Ascot) or in the evening when she might be tired after her day.

I think pure speculation about Catherine and food skirts the lines Jane drew long ago about bodies on Fbtb.

Some unkind sites use this as an entry point to extremely unlikely ideas about her and her health. I think this is a space where that is not seen as kind.

She may skip the parts of engagement that are not public facing which often include lunches but that is a thin thread to needle into any sort of fact.

We have no idea what food events she has or has not attended.

This is pure speculation dressed as fact.

Why does this matter? There could be very legit reasons that are not about “eating around other people” as you wrote. Your comment seems to suspect an eating disorder perhaps or something with the cancer. I wish people would not float such ideas unless you have proof. It fuels the fire for rumors.

And how do you know for fact that she skips events with meals?

I think this is a bit of a stretch. She has skipped the Garden Party, where the royals are not known to eat. If eating were the issue she could easily have gotten through an afternoon at Ascot without eating anything and also why would that cause her to withdraw at the last minute?

When they were in the Scottish Isle they were actually at a food market and tasting produce. I doubt they would have included that in the itenary if food was an issue.

And according to reports she did attend the lunch today.
