The biggest miss is whoever decided to turn a Reggie Bush NFL jersey into a floor length gown?!? No one better even think about giving that design an award in HMTLQ’s name!

I’m excited to see Catherine out and looking amazing. Serious earrings, super modish suit and great hair. Note she speaks to everyone, gives the award and stands back not hogging the mike. She shines the light on others but takes up her own space.

Everyone looks excited. She is at a fashion award. Not a boring dress event. The suit is tailored to the max and pressed to the inch. She shows consideration for the nature of the event and the audience it is serving.

I hope things are going well, really well and we get an event or announcement every week here on to August. I am crossing my fingers for the French visit in July. Hopefully some great clothes, a tiara maybe? And a return of the Early Years project.

Unfortunately, I don't think any royal family has ever worn tiaras in France.

There are pictures of Queen Elizabeth II at state réception in France with a tiara.

Macron is making an official state visit to uk in July. State dinner and greeting fingers crossed. Usually after the state dinner the Eds or Glos go to a reciprocal event in London.

Well I like the blouse, and the jacket, but I agree the color is awful! I also think that the trousers are too long and while the upper trouser is well fitted, the bottoms are a miss for me. Of course a plus for the gorgeous earrings!

That’s how they’re designed to be. If anyone has an outfit perfectly fitted it is Catherine. That’s the style.

Nah, the color is great. Olive+dijon+caramel.

Perhaps some of us are starved for a neutral that’s not grey, white, or beige.

The color reads entirely differently for me in the first few photos than in the last one. A chartreuse green that looked striking and perfect for fashion awards. In the last, a brown that did nothing for Catherine. Do we have any idea what it was in real life?

I agree with the color shifting. In one photo the color glowed like a kind of bronze and that was beautiful.

I agree - I like the color in some photos and not others.

The lighting in the photographs totally made a difference. I think this is a color that does not photograph well in indoor lighting or under light from a flash gun. The first photo is outdoors in full sunlight, the others are indoors at the event. I remember Kate wore a dress at an evening event that was a sheer material covered in pailettes and sequins that looked flat in pictures because the flash guns washed it out but was probably beautiful in person.

I took a peek at What Kate Wore and they have photos of the suit from Victoria Beckham's site. The suit is actually a beautiful olive green and probably brought out the green in Kate's eyes. There's one photo of Kate partially lit by a spotlight against a green curtain and the suit looks dark olive green. The indoor lighting and flash definitely muddied the color in some photos.

The suit was so lovely and, though I wasn’t a huge fan of the color, was happy to see Kate in something other than a midi dress. Her best fashion-forward outfit was when she wore that purple Gucci blouse backward! I hope she continues to push her fashion boundaries, like dropping the monochromatic looks and mixing up her purse and shoe colors. She should definitely

wear more Victoria Beckham - it really “suits” her! 😉

I agree that the color of the suit was not flattering. Catherine is a Clear/Bright Spring (warm toned + high contrast). Lucky her, because that means she can wear bold, bright colors! But it also means that muddy neutrals like olive or other colors which have muted or gray tones make her complexion look dull. Compare how she looks in this suit to how she looks in bright red or fuchsia pink or royal blue, and you'll see the difference. (PS, Meghan has the same issue. She's a Bright Winter and looks best in bright - but cool-toned - shades and jewel tones, but keeps wearing warm neutrals that do nothing for her.)

I liked the colour! What I didn't like was the length of the trousers. I hate it when they hit the floor and cover the shoes; it's as if one is standing barefoot while getting ready!

I agree with you Jane: beautiful cut but not a nice color! But still, it's good to see her again!

About the video, I find these videos about "nature" very melancholic (not to say boring). From my point of view, it doesn't give the right signal about the princess' health.

Yes, I agree about the suit. I wonder how the color looks in real life.

I enjoy the videos. The images are lovely and of course I love to see the shots of her interacting with William. I do not, however, see the point of the videos. It reads like an insurance commercial or something - I'm waiting for a corporate logo at the end.

It does look a bit ethereal and the mental health theme isn't obvious. One thing though that I could relate to, as someone who has episodes of depression, is that just getting out and about, whatever "nature" you live in, is good. One thing that depressed me after moving here to rural Arizona was the lack of the trees I was used to back in the Northeast and in the UK. However, I went on a few nature hikes with our local conservancy and discovered how beautiful the desert actually is. And now when I feel low I do go up in the mountains and walk along the trails (being careful about rattlesnakes though.) Watch the hummingbirds, look at the amazing sky out here--it goes on for miles and miles and miles. Sunrise, sunset, looking at them reminds me that bad days end and sometimes tomorrow can be glorious.

I agree, the videos are lovely to look at, but to count them as part of her duties is a bit of a stretch - I really wish she would narrate a video about baby banks and remind people of the need!

Impeccably tailored pantsuit - still think the pants were a bit too long. I liked the color for fall - I would have chosen a spring color in May. I liked the blouse and accessories.

My reaction was surprise that I thought the color looked beautiful on the Princess. I wouldn't care for the color if I saw the suit hanging on a rack and I wouldn't choose it for myself, but thought it stunning on Kate.

I too agree that the suit was lovely in the fit but the trouser length too long. I know this is “in” right now but I don’t prefer the trouser skimming the floor. I like to see a bit more of the shoe and think it looks better. Color also concur a Miss. But she still looks great !

I was surprised to see this appearance covered by the NY Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/13/style/kate-middleton-queen-elizabeth-ii-award-design.html?searchResultPosition=1. Turns out that a sleeveless jacket is called The Wales. Nothing earth-shattering in the article, just unusual for them to cover her appearances.

I love seeing Kate in beautiful pantsuits. She looks so chic and modern in them so of course this was a great choice for an appearance at a fashion event. I really don't like the color but who even knows what it looks like in person? I've seen several different shades and tones in pictures that all look completely different. Because of that I'll give a pass on the color. I also didn't like the blouse. It looked too prissy and old-fashioned. A sleeker silhouette would have been more flattering and fresh. Still, it's great to see her out so frequently.
