Let’s end the week with a quick Friday special, because the Princess of Wales was out twice yesterday marking VE80. In the morning, the royals gathered at Westminster Abbey for the VE Day 80 Service.
Kate was wearing an Alessandra Rich dress she has worn before with a Juliette Botterill hat (also a rewear). She paired these larger pieces with Ralph Lauren Celia heels and carried her DeMellier London bag. Kate added sparkle with the gorgeous Collingwood pearl earrings, which are fan favorites.
After the service, the royals took turns laying bouquets of flowers at the Innocent Victims’ Memorial outside the Abbey gates.
Then, yesterday evening, the Prince and Princess of Wales once again joined senior members of the royal family, this time for the VE Day concert set up at the Horse Guards parade ground.
Kate chose a beautiful Self-Portrait dress she has worn twice before and paired it with vintage jewelry from Susan Caplan. The necklace is familiar to most Kate-watchers, while the earrings are new to Kate’s collection of vintage jewelry. The Princess was also carrying a Chanel handbag.
I love these commemorations when there are days of events and/or multiple events a day. It is so festive to see the royals out in quick succession.
May and June are usually relatively busy for the royals, and yesterday’s events have whet my appetite for the “summer” of special events—from Trooping to Ascot to Wimbledon.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Seeing Kate look so well is like a balm to the heart!
Her happiness is contagious! I love her happy disposition. Was she a little tanned?
The clothing felt like we are back to very classic Catherine: perfect for the events and very flattering to her figure. I loved the bow, but maybe a tad bit smaller would have been better so it didn't poke out when looking at her from the front. Yes, I'm talking minutia, but this is a blog were we discuss it all.
