As you all know, the Princess of Wales hosted her now annual Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey on Friday, so I am preempting our usual Monday Memory in favor of that appearance.
Not wild about the earrings or the bow, but this is the Christmas of the Bow, when they're being slapped on everything down to mustard jars and porta-potties. Minor quibbles - she looked wonderful. And even better - the Daily Fail says William went to Spain after this for a shoot at the Duke of Westminster's vast estate, so her recovery must be real if he felt comfortable leaving her for a few days.
I pretty much adore Catherine and everything about her. But one of my favorites nuances is how her coats are exactly the right length. Never a gap of being too long or too short. I know she has people to do this for her, but she must be part of this attention to detail.
Lovely appearance. Kate looked very festive, with the black bow as a nod to the tribulations many of her guests (and herself) have been going through this year. I love that she tweaks combinations of old wardrobe items to make them look new. I liked the long suede boots.
Zara Tindall looked great in this year’s must have velvet trouser suit - I note Queens Mary, Letitia and Maxima also own different coloured ones.
Always good to see the royal children and see how they are growing. Apparently Kate told guests that Louis found out there were ballet dancers at the concert and she asked him to keep it a secret from Charlotte as a surprise for the ballet - mad princess, and, bless him, he managed to keep quiet for two weeks, even though he was bursting to tell his sister!
It was a very beautiful close to the year. So wonderful to see the Princess looking well and happy. George is getting very tall. Louis has also shot up and his demeanour seemed more measured - another sign of his growing maturity. I usually record this event when it’s shown here to watch it in a quiet period away from all the Christmas busyness. It’s become a lovely, new tradition, always restorative and uplifting.
This evening's outifts were all around perfection for me! I absolutely loved Kate's look and Alizee was stunning in Sezane. I adore that Kate grew out the fringe bangs and has been wearing more skirts/fewer pant suits.
Oh! This is wonderful. Kate looks sensational. She seemed more relaxed and is so in her element with this wonderful Christmas service. The whole family looked beautiful. The children are changing so much at their ages. I loved seeing the Middletons too. They always add so much - support and great style. Always seeing Pippa too. And all of the velvet! Just yummy.
Kate herself looks gorgeous but I don't love this coat and the bow. For me it's going to be hard to top her all-white look at last year's concert, with the pants and long coat and the Alhambra jewelry. That was so sleek and sophisticated and modern, while still being festive. This year's look seems a bit dowdy in comparison. Nonetheless, she looks great, happy and relaxed. The family (including cousins, siblings, etc) all look great. Love Zara's velvet pantsuit. I have a similar one, in a similar color, and I highly recommend velvet pantsuits for the holiday season. They not only look festive but they keep your legs warm!

So happy to see Catherine looking so much herself. What a beautiful evening.

I agree, Charlene. Every detail of Catherine's tailoring is perfect.

What a joy to see her looking so well & happy. I pray 2025 is a year of health for their family!
Love the pre-emption! Thank you, Jane. All the kids seem to have had a growth spurt, and I think they'll all be quite tall.
Alizée's and Zara's velvet suits, and especially with A's slouchy bow, were perfect -- elegant yet cozy and comfortable.
Here's to a very healthy 2025 for Catherine and for Charles.

Here's to a better year for the entire BRF.
