When all was said and done, she commented that it was too warm for the coat. I do agree this coat would bee the one. She has such excellent taste that she may wear a different one.
There used to be a set age when English boys progressed from short to long, but I don't know if that holds true anymore. My imperfect memory recalls George making the transition a few years older.
I like maroon too. I loved her in that maroonish tweedy coat and navy fedora, that she wore for her birthday walk to church in Norfolk early 2020. Like JoElliot below, I think tartans are also good at Christmas. Not trousers please!
William and Catherine definitely we’re at Windsor for the Christmas lunch we are told, and last year too, but do not have to enter through a gate, so no public pictures. Miss that too. However, to see Lady Helen!
My wish list is the same as yours! That fur coat is one of my favorite Christmas looks

I wonder if Louis will graduate from shorts to long pants 🎄🎉

I thought that too I imagine Louis is keen to emulate his big brother so maybe earlier it’s all good fun
Love your column, but I think you have a little mistake: you mentioned renovations at Windsor, but I believe you meant Buckingham Palace.
Thank you! And yes, that should read BP. Happily, I think most of you all who read this column know.
I would love to see Catherine in maroon again.
I'm with you Maggie, I love her in that color! ❤️
I love her plaid ensembles for Christmas. The 2017 Miu Miu coat and the 2013 Alexander McQueen coat in Stewart plaid remain two of my favorites.
She said she was burning up in the 2019 coat because the weather was warm.
Love them! Merry Christmas and Happy holidays to all! Long Live the King!
I like her in dark purple or silver grey, but my prediction is that whatever she chooses will be a pleasant surprise.

That should say, however, great to see Lady Helen! While I am at it, James & Julia Ogilvy, Lord Frederick…
Oh! Ok, I couldn’t remember if/what the royal reporters said. Who confirmed it?
