Hope she can do these types of visits soon and interesting that she brought her patronages along! It seems like she is focusing much more on major engagements vs the smaller charity visits she used to do so maybe they can figure out a way to combine them.
Thanks for another lovely memory. Catherine wears everything so well. Despite the wrinkles, it was a lovely suit. That is such a good color for her. And it showed off her gorgeous legs. I have so enjoyed these "looking back" posts. And may she have good health and strength in the new year to be with her family and to attend to duties as she is able.
I'm so glad you will continue the Monday Memory series - it's always such a pleasure when "you" land in my inbox. :)
I loved this visit ... the focus on art, her in front of one of my favorite paintings, that she was confident to lunch with a king. ❤️ Still I wished Maxima had been there - imagine the fashions ops!
I love this outfit, the color, her jewlery, and the hair. En toto it was almost sexy, but still completely appropriate for the visit. I can't upload it here, but there are photos of Catherine boarding a commercial flight home after the visit. Imagine the surprise that a seatmate is the future Queen!
So fun to look back. I thought her hair was beautiful on this trip. Also love this style on her and length of skirt so perfect. Here’s to a 2025 with more events. Thank you
I've loved the Monday Memory feature (no matter what day it arrives!), and I loved this outfit and engagement as well. Happy New Year, Jane, to you and your family, and here's hoping this will be a happy and healthy new year for the BRF, esp Catherine and Charles.
I remember thinking at the time that I hoped this might be the first of many solo, overseas visits but it was not to be. I guess three small children and a pandemic got in the way. The Princess looked poised, friendly and, if not quite comfortable, then more or less at ease. I loved the way her love of art was integrated into the visit. I thought it was most gracious of the King to receive the Princess at his home rather than an official residence. It was a warm gesture and pointed to a close relationship between the royal houses. Catherine was beautifully dressed for all the events of a very long day. I remember the comments about the creases on her suit and thought them ungenerous at the time. Today, I hope that everyone would rise above such pettiness if we were lucky enough to see the Princess carry out a similar event.
I agree entirely about the suit - apart from the unfortunate fabric, it looked lovely on her. I’m generally a fan of peplums anyway, and I think they really suit her long torso.
I also particularly liked her more formal hairdo for daywear, as I do get a bit tired of the flowing locks all the time (just as I get tired of Swedish Crown Princess Victoria’s same pulled back hair and wish she would have flowing locks occasionally!)
Happy New Year to you Jane! I eagerly look forward to more fabulous insights and posts about Kate and co.
I loved this look and Catherine's hair on this day. The wrinkles were the unfortunate result of having to sit on a commercial flight to get there....hard to fight that seatbelt! Catherine looked beautiful in this color and her hair was perfection.

I loved this color on her and the style. I also thought her hair was perfect at this engagement.
Thanks for continuing to do the Monday Memory in 2025 - I’ve enjoyed it.
Happy New Year Jane !!
Loved this look then and still love it! Hope we see more of Catherine in 2025!

Those would be very interesting photos indeed!
Looking forward to more of these posts in 2025!
