The fact that you can even find time to post what you do Jane is incredibly impressive, and very much appreciated. I loved this look, for all the reasons you state, very feminine and yet professionally chic, it is a style silhouette that looks good on Kate. With the absence of Kate presently, the look back at her clothing - not just by you but other media outlets - reminds me of 1) how much we look forward to seeing her, and 2) how beautiful her clothing looks in retrospect. Whether or not you specifically like an outfit, she is almost always impeccably groomed and the photos stand the test of time, as do some of her outfits. But above all this, I am mostly struck by how photogenic she is, as well as her poise and grace.....there is a definite void in the royal watching world these days. It will be a special day when she returns, hope that she is getting the rest she needs and recovering.

I love this dress and styling. I see your point about the puff sleeves and sweetheart neckline: it kinda shouts 80s and Anne of Green Gables. But overall, Catherine pulls it off well.

I’ve been looking for the Halcyon Days “Maya Torque” aquamarine and gold bangle bracelet!! What a lovely gift for your bridesmaids! 🤍

You are truly a princess when you can walk through pouring rain in heels covered only by an umbrella and still look amazing. Although, I think with her grace, she would have pulled off wet and bedraggled.

Thank you Jane for this post. This is one of my favorite overall looks for Catherine. It showcases all of her best attributes and as always she’s gorgeous and just so nice. ♥️💐

Lovely dress and colour and I like the styling. I’d like to see a return to some dress wearing for these type of occasions too, although I’m a complete hypocrite as I would wear trousers myself!

Loved it then and love it now! I think the dress does such a fantastic job highlighting all of her best attributes and as someone who wears dresses to work about 90% of the time, I love seeing her in dresses and wish she would wear them more!

This series is filling a gap for me and many others who are missing regular coverage of the Princess and the opportunity to enjoy her clothing and accessory choices. It would still be fun to see outfits from the past even if the Princess was able to keep to her usual schedule, but this series of posts is especially valuable now. It makes me sad to realise how much has changed for Kate in two short years but it is delightful to look back. And I know I am one of many who are wishing her a speedy and complete recovery, a return to good health and to the regular pattern of her life when she is able.

Now to the outfit. The Princess looked wonderful. I liked it in 2021 and I like it now. One of the things about following Kate I enjoy the most is that her style preferences and mine are often quite different. I have never liked puffy sleeves or sweetheart necklines on me. They don’t suit my style preferences or my body type. But I can appreciate them on the Princess, who can wear them well, especially in this beautifully sleek dress in its lovely shade of lilac. She does “sleek” so well and the dress shows her colouring and gorgeous hair to best advantage. Nailing feminine and professional is not easy but she often succeeds. I especially love how happy she looks in the first photo with the rainbow umbrella. Thank you for this series and all that you do.

Jane, whether the posts arrive on a Monday, or any other day of the week is just fine. Give yourself Grace. Please. And it was a gorgeous look for Kate then and if she wore it again now, it would still be stunning. Thank you for the effort that goes into these.

Love it! Basically, Catherine looks great in anything but I love the length, the colour and I too miss the ‘dress’ days.

I love this too! I wish she wore more of these types of dresses recently although I did enjoy the mix-up with the suit era. I wonder if when she comes back if she'll be in another fashion era...

I forgot about this event! Definitely would love to see this dress again and I love that rainbow umbrella -- makes me reminisce about QEII and her matching dress&umbrella combinations
