I know we haven’t made it to Thanksgiving yet (so I am holding off on Christmas music or décor), but today’s Monday Memory takes us back to December 15, 2015—Kate’s visit to the Anna Freud Centre’s Christmas party.
Fabulous dress, wonderful occasion and Kate looked absolutely beautiful! I love her hair this shorter length - to me, it’s too much of a distraction when it’s longer. Kate’s interactions with children are always so joyous and heartwarming and the little boy was particularly delightful. Very incisive of you to suggest that the princess’s wardrobe could be organised by year - it makes a lot of sense. The comparisons between the princess and Kim Kardashian were unnecessary, but I know who I think wore it better 😉
I’m also a fan of the hem hitting at her knee. I wish that length would come back in style. The mid calf length to me seems more dowdy and it hides her shapely calves.
What a beautiful post. Thank you. She is just so, so lovely and kind. I understand how that little boy fell in love with her. She is so genuine and warm with everyone, especially the children. May she be returned to full, vigorous good health. I wish many blessings for all of the family. They have all been through so much.
I understand the late Queen had her wardrobe organised by year and she waited about 3 years before appearing in a repeated outfit, when several ensembles from the same year might come back out.
Perhaps she inspired Catherine to do the same.
I loved this dress too and, as always when children are involved, she was in her element.
I love this dress and I think it holds up well. She could easily wear it today. This was a really joyous, festive event that produced some wonderful pictures.
I think Kate stole that little ones heart! So sweet. A memory he's not likely to ever forget. 🥰

I was just thinking as I read that I really liked the hem length
