I’ve stayed at Balmoral. I was in the cottage behind Craigowen Lodge, which the Queen uses when she goes up early. The public is only allowed to see the ballroom. But when you stay on the estate, you have free run of the grounds after tours end for the day. I poked into a lot of spots.

I did visit Balmoral in early May back in 2018. You don’t get into a lot of the house but the grounds were beautiful.

With the passing of our beloved Queen, I will be pinned to the TV and internet and re-watching The Queen all weekend and in the coming days.
