When Harry and Meghan visited Colombia earlier this year, part of the promotion was that they were visiting in the run-up to a global summit Colombia would be hosting later in the year. That event took place last week.
Delegations of governments from UN Member States, survivors, funders, practitioners, young people and children gathered in Bogotá, Colombia, November 7-8, for the first ever Global Ministerial Conference on ending violence against children.
The two-day Conference convened by the Government of Colombia, and co-hosted by the Government of Sweden, UNICEF, the United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children, and the World Health Organization, provided a platform to drive policy change, assemble resources for the mission of ending violence against children and provide a platform to victims/survivors to share their expertise and experience.
Harry and Meghan recorded a video that was played at the conference, and the couple released the video to their personal website, too. The couple were filmed outside their home in a breezeway that seems to be their filming spot where they spot in very general terms of protecting children from violence and the work their Parents’ Network is doing.
