Meghan's Instagram Feud With Gwyneth...That Wasn't

It was sometime early last week that I started seeing tweets about a “shade war” between Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle. One video circulated showing Paltrow making breakfast in her kitchen, and people were saying she was the master of shade. In the video, Paltrow makes breakfast to Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)”, which is the theme song used for “With Love, Meghan” promos. Of course, it is also a very popular song, and you all know how popular social media tunes get used a million times on different reels.

I shared the video to my Instagram and asked everyone what they thought. Was Gwyneth throwing shade at Meghan? Some said yes and others said no. The problem was, I could not find an explanation of why and what shade was being thrown. If there was a “shade war” ongoing, there must be multiple skirmishes, right? I did some googling to see if I could get the back story and examples of other “shade” being exchanged, but I came up with nothing. It seemed that single video was the extent of the alleged war between the two women.
