Meghan is Restocking; Harry is Reorganizing

When I wrote Monday’s post, I hoped we would see Kate out and about, and, as you know, she made her appearance yesterday—Tuesday. I do think her absence that first week was probably just giving the King and William space in the headlines. And, last week, Kate convened staff for her Early Years project at Windsor. So, although we didn’t see her, she was “back to work” that first week after the little ones were back in school. Still, it was very nice to see her in public yesterday.

But, it is Wednesday, so I like to do a little pivot and check in on Montecito some Wednesdays. Today, on my Instagram Q&A, someone asked about Meghan’s award event being canceled, which I had not realized had happened! But a quick internet query revealed that, yes, the event has been cancelled due to the LA riots. It does make one think (again!) that if it were not for bad luck, Meghan would have no luck at all. The good news for her is that she has lots of awards in her future, of that she can be sure (since I think her staff arranges them!).

In the meantime, we also got an update on As Ever a few weeks ago…

I don’t know if Meghan’s team realized they needed to get back in gear ASAP, or if the plan was always to wait until June to issue the next release of products, but after late May’s punishing headlines and speculation about Meghan’s lack of productivity, As Ever announced right at the end of June that the jam is coming back this month.

That is, I assume the jam is coming back. The post said “your favorites” are coming back, which suggests the most popular items only. Since everything sold out, and other items got better reviews than the jam, though, maybe only the cookie mix is making a comeback. I don’t know; time will tell the tale.
