Meghan and Harry's Two-Hour Car Chase
A bizarre and sensationalized story seemingly plagiarized from the life of Diana, Princess of Wales
Last night, Meghan, Harry, and Doria (Meghan’s mother) made a glamorous appearance at the Ms. Foundation for Women’s “Women of Vision Awards,” where Meghan accepted an award for her advocacy. We could get into wondering what provided the basis for such an award, and in fact, we will get into it in a post I started this morning, but by mid-morning the Sussex news got a lot more interesting, and I had to abandon that draft for this post. As you doubtless know, the couple’s spokesman released an extraordinary statement today about drama that allegedly occurred after the event last night:
Pretty wild stuff, eh? An aggressive and relentless, two-hour car chase in (*checks notes*)…Manhattan. It sounds like a play that should be set in Paris, no? One that ends with the tragic death of the most famous and photographed woman in the world.
Before any other details emerged at all, a lot of people had a lot of questions. It didn’t take long for the story to get some added nuance from the other, shall we say, less dramatic parties involved.
