The Monday Memory post is delayed until Wednesday, because I want to chat about Meghan and Harry’s visit to Pasadena in the midst of the ongoing fires.
At some point, as I watched the LA fires rage, I wondered how long it would take Harry and Meghan to make an appearance—it was, after all, only a matter of time. Sure enough, on Friday, out they came, joining Gavin Newsom’s wife at the Pasadena Convention Center—currently operating as an evacuation site for those affected by the Eaton fire. The couple also then met with volunteers from World Central Kitchen.
Interestingly, Harry and Meghan were also apparently given a tour of some of the burned out residential areas that had been cordoned off even to homeowners. I say interesting because this portion of the visit has received very little coverage, and I wonder if that is because it received the heaviest backlash. But we will get to that in a minute.
