The Queen won’t be at any of the Buckingham Palace garden parties this season (to our knowledge), as “episodic mobility issues” continue to plague the 96-year old monarch. But Kate has already been a staple each summer, and today she made an appearance at the second garden party of the year. She joined Edward, Sophie, and Princess Alexandra to represent the royal family.
The Duchess was striking in a coral coat-dress by Emilia Wickstead and complementing hat by Jane Taylor. Although this dress is new, the style is a favorite of Kate’s. She has this style in ice blue and green, although I think today’s skirt is not quite as full as the green.
You likely remember the Jane Taylor hat from Trooping in 2017. It is one of my favorite hats in this structure/profile. I was honestly surprised how well this hat worked with coral. Or… is it a new hat? Honestly, I am not certain. But having stared at pictures for far too long, I *think*
