As the month wound down, we had news that the Waleses were holidaying on Tresco. Someone on Instagram sent me a message from someone on the island who had seen the family and the royal helicopter, which is the Waleses’ typical method of transportation to Scilly (thank you to my tipster!).
As a quick refresher, Tresco is part of the Isles of Scilly, an archipelago that sits about 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall. The islands are part of the Duchy of Cornwall, which William inherited from his father when the Queen died. The Duchy owns most of the freehold land and one-third of the residential buildings.
