And we are back. Thank you for your patience, and I hope you enjoyed the archive posts last night!

January 2024 was one of the most extraordinary months for the royal family in recent memory—despite the fact key members were all but invisible. While the world was engrossed by the shocking news and surrounding mystery of the Princess of Wales’s hospitalization and the drama of the King’s hospital stay, Harry and Meghan had a relatively active and interesting month.

As you certainly recall, just a little over ten days ago, Harry withdrew his case against the Mail on Sunday, almost certainly to avoid a PR catastrophe when his evidence did not support his claims.

Days later, Harry and Meghan turned up in Kingston, Jamaica, of all places, on the red carpet. The former royals were attending the premiere of Bob Marley: One Love—a biopic on the famous Jamaican reggae singer.

Harry and Meghan have visited the island together in the past. Harry brought Meghan as his date to the wedding of Tom “Skippy” Inskip in 2012.

Harry has been to Jamaica in an official capacity, too. He visited in 2012 as a senior royal on tour. His visit was part of a trip to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. What a difference a dozen years makes.

The Bob Marley premiere was certainly a Hollywood style event that saw the couple pose with Brian Robbins and Tracy James (Robbins is the CEO of Paramount and James, his wife, is a fashion designer in LA), among others. But it was the pictures of the couple with the Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness that really made headlines.
