Over the weekend and on Monday, Meghan and Harry were both out and about. Usually, here at From Berkshire to Buckingham, we are all honestly more interested in the ladies than the gentlemen, I think, but today I am intrigued by Harry’s recent public activity. We are seeing both Harry and Meghan working on new projects and rebranding, but Harry seems to be taking a more aggressive tack (at least more productive!).

As you know, the Invictus Games are really Harry’s premier project, which is no surprise. As we have covered in these pages many times, the Invictus Games are actually successful and world class, because the project was built by the Royal apparatus in conjunction with the British government as a major platform for a senior royal.

The Invictus Games will be held in Vancouver and Whistler this coming February—right around the corner. On Monday, Harry flew to Vancouver and joined children at Seaforth Armoury to launch a new Invictus school program.

Although Harry mentioned he’d like to see this program expand worldwide, the new school program is specific to the upcoming games in Canada. The Kindergarten package, which you can look at here, has children learning about veterans, the games, the adaptive nature of sport (to permit everyone an opportunity to play), and courage and resiliency. It’s not a bad program, although, I would not say it’s very substantive either. Looking over the middle-school packet, too, there is a self-centered theme, which ultimately clashes with the lesson children should be taught about veterans, the military, and sacrifice, but that is just my opinion.
