The Cambridges wrapped their tour in the Caribbean on March 26th and flew home to London. George and Charlotte’s school went on break on the 25th, and the two children accompanied their parents to Westminster Abbey on March 29th for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Memorial Service.
I figured after that the family would disappear on holiday, and that holiday would almost certainly be a ski vacation. We can guess this because March/April is peak ski-holiday season, and we know the Cambridges need to go with some regality to make sure their little ones learn to ski. It’s much better to learn when you are young. After the prolonged COVID shutdown, I am sure they were anxious to get the children out on the ski slopes.
The family shared very sweet family snaps from a holiday when the George and Charlotte were still very small (see above). They spent Mother’s Day weekend in the Trois Vallées in the French Alps. But they have been skiing since, and are able to do so with relative anonymity.
Now I have gotten reports that the Cambridges have been skiing at Courchevel where they were apparently recently spotted lunching at Cave de Creux with Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton Matthews. I do not think the children were spotted, but if these reports are indeed true, I assume they are all there as a family holiday. Here is my report from Instagram:
I have not been able to confirm these reports. I will note that the Cambridges 2016 trip was to Courchevel and they dined at Cave de Creux then, too. I think these types of vacations can often be formulaic. My family goes back to the same area of Florida every year and we frequent the same restaurants we love, etc. So these reports might be accurate, but it is also possible someone confused an old report. My bet is, however, the reports are accurate. Hopefully they will be further confirmed…
I hope so ! A well deserved holiday.
