April was a very surprising month for Kate fans, because the Princess of Wales was almost entirely absent from the public eye. Lambrook was on term break from March 22nd to April 17th. Although William and Kate have made it a habit to take off entirely when their children have shorter breaks, I did not expect Kate to disappear for all of the term break.
The family is rumored to have gone skiing toward the end of March/early April. This tracks with the ski holidays they have taken in years past in the late spring. But I expected Kate to schedule a public engagement in the lead up to Easter after she returned from the family’s ski holiday. Alas, we saw nothing of her until Easter Sunday, when the entire Wales family was out in coordinating blue at Windsor.
